In recognition of our 15th year reunion the Class of Science '99 proposed that we join thousands of alumni before us in giving back to our alma mater.
Whether it was the academics, athletics, school government or pub attendance – our Queen’s experience remains part of who we are and what we are. Rising costs of delivering a world class engineering education together with the reduction in post-secondary government support has been challenging for our engineering school – in a very real way it is now up to alumni to keep Queen’s Engineering strong.
As a result, we launched the “Science ’99 15th Reunion Class Gift Campaign” to raise $500,000 over the next 5 years (2014-2019) in support of the Dean’s Excellence Fund, the Mark Pettit Memorial Fund, and the Applied Science ’99 Bursary.
This is a significant and ambitious goal but we are confident we can reach it.
As we currently have 298 active class members, if each of us think big and consider giving a minimum of $500 / year for the next 5 years (total: $2500) towards the campaign.
