Reznick Scholars in Health Professions Education Program

Donate to Reznick Scholars in Health Professions Education Program

The Reznick Scholars in Health Professions Education program is being established to honour Dean Richard Reznick’s leadership at Queen’s University.

Dr. Reznick is a true believer in the importance of educational scholarship, knowing that its impact goes beyond the classroom and serves to train better healthcare professionals who, ultimately, deliver better patient care. Initiated by the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO) and the Paul B Helliwell Foundation, the Reznick Scholars program provides an opportunity for faculty members to implement their own educational research and scholarship initiatives.

In the first year, one faculty member from each of the schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Rehabilitation Therapy will be selected and awarded $20,000 over two years to develop their project. In subsequent years, one new Reznick Scholar will be chosen annually. Over time, the recipients will make up a cohort of scholars committed to health professions education at Queen’s.

Donations can be made to the SEAMO Reznick Scholars in Health Professions Education Fund (open to all SEAMO affiliated physicians) OR the Helliwell Reznick Scholars in Health Professions Education Fund (open to faculty members from Medicine, Nursing & Rehabilitation Therapy).
