  The A Charles Baillie Environmental Studies Scholarship   Add to Gift Basket  
Awarded on the basis of academic excellence to students entering fourth year of any undergraduate degree program in the School of Environmental Studies. Preference will be given to students pursuing research in arctic or environmental research.

Established in January 2001 by A. Dorothy Milligan, Arts 1947, and awarded to a full-time student in the Faculty of Arts and Science on the basis of financial need and academic merit.

Established by family, colleagues, students, and friends in memory of Arthur Z. Arthur, Professor of Psychology at Queen's. Awarded to the top two students who have the highest standing in the M.A. Clinical Program in the Department of Psychology.

Established in memory of Anne Bodnarchuk, BA'57, HLLD'84, who led a distinguished career with Air Canada and was the company's first female Vice-President. Awarded on the basis of need and academic merit to an upper year in the School of Computing.

Established in memory of Anne Home Protti, Arts 1961, and awarded on the basis of financial need and academic excellence to a student who has already demonstrated a passion for teaching, not necessarily in traditional settings.

To enhance the Archie Bennett Judaica endowment by adding a component of academic dialogue to the Jewish Studies Program involving analysis of historical issues and contemporary controversies.

  The Ardal Scholarship in Philosophy   Add to Gift Basket  
Awarded annually to the student in the second-year Moral Philosophy course who is deemed by the Department to be the most deserving provided he or she has first-class standing in the course. The Prize is a medal struck in honour of Professor Pall Ardal.

Established to promote excellence in the Humanities by providing key assistance in selected areas. Funds are directed to support projects that are to have a tangible impact beyond the fiscal year in which they are expended, not for operating cost support.

Awarded on the basis of need and academic achievement to students entering any first year Arts and Science program. Preference to students who have participated in extra-curricular activities or who have individual accomplishments in the arts, sport, etc.

Gifts to this fund will be invested in priority equipment and programming for the BFA Programme to enhance our students' art making techniques and processes, and foster a learning environment that encourages experimentation and invention.

Established to create a legacy endowment; the income from the endowment provides discretionary funds for the Head, Department of Biology, to support new initiatives and build on existing teaching and research strengths.

Established by Robert Blakely, LLB 73, and Cindy Blakely to provide modest honoraria to visiting lecturers hosted by the Sociology department, and/or to defray travel and other expenses incurred.

Established by Dawn Bowen, PhD 1998, and awarded on the basis of academic excellence to funding-eligible humanities and social science graduate students in the Ph.D. degree program in the Department of Geography in the School of Graduate Studies.

Established in memory of Brad Erion, BMus'80. Awarded on the basis of need and academic achievement to a student in the Bachelor of Music program, with preference given to a student specializing in composition.

Established in memory of Professor C.A. Curtis. Awarded annually for the best doctoral thesis in economics. Any Ph.D. thesis in economics completed during the preceding two calendar years is eligible for consideration.

  The C G Prado Prize in Philosophy   Add to Gift Basket  
Established in honour of Carlos G. Prado, Ph.D. 1970. Awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Philosophy who submits an outstanding doctoral thesis.

  The C Kathleen Munn Award   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by C. Kathleen Munn, Arts'72, and awarded on the basis of need and academic merit to an Arts and Science student enrolled in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year, with preference given to a BA (Honours) student in English. The recipient must be biligual.

  The C McGann Memorial Prize   Add to Gift Basket  
Established in June 1998 by family and friends in memory of Catherine McGann. Awarded annually to the graduate student in the Department of French Studies who has produced the best thesis in the past calendar year.

  The Campbell Memorial Bursaries   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by the children of Milton Neil Campbell and Hazel May Campbell (Dixon). Awarded on the basis of financial need to students who have completed at least one year of studies at Queen's University.

  The Cappon Trust   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by the Department of English to increase the frequency and variety of departmental academic events for the purpose of enriching the student-faculty experience and raising the Department profile with the University and alumni community.

  The Carl C Ferguson Bursary   Add to Gift Basket  
Established in April 2002 by Carl C. Ferguson, B.A. '37, and awarded on the basis of financial need to one or more students in the Bachelor of Science program in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

  The Carlos & Catherine Prado Chamber Music Prize   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by Catherine and Carlos G. Prado, Ph.D. 1970, and other friends and alumni of the School of Music. Awarded to the student chamber music ensemble deemed to have presented the best performance during the preceding academic year.

  The Carole Kinnear Award   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by J. Paul Kinnear, Comm'63, in honour of his wife's graduation from the Arts and Science in May 1998. Awarded on the basis of need and academic merit to a woman who, after an interruption in her formal education, is returning to studies.

  The CFUW Kingston Club A Vibert Douglas Award   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by the Canadian Federation of University Women Kingston Club in memory of A. Vibert Douglas and Caroline Mitchell, B.A. 1926. Awarded to students in any year in a Bachelor of Science program in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Established by Margaret Farr for the purpose of stimulating the performance of chamber music at Queen's University and in the Kingston community by supporting chamber concerts organized by the School of Music.

  The Charles & Margaret Green Geology Field Trip Fund   Add to Gift Basket  
Established by Margaret Green, BA'30, in memory of Charles Green, BSc(Eng)'31, to fund student field programs in mineral-deposit geology and hard-rock geology.

This expendable fund is used at the discretion of the Head of the Chemistry Department to enhance academic programs and/or research infrastructure.

Gifts support graduate student research in the Chemistry department through thesis awards, research awards, travel awards for graduate student attendance at national/international conferences, and other graduate student research initiatives.

Established by Marsha and Dr. Spruce Riordon in recognition of their renowned and gifted brother and brother-in-law, Christopher Lewis. Awarded to a student in the third or fourth year of a Music program for the best paper in music theory or musicology.

  The Christopher Lounds Bursary   Add to Gift Basket  
Established in memory of Christopher Lounds, B.A. 1993, B.A. (Hons.) 1994, and awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need to students entering first year of any first entry undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Awarded to a student in either of the Faculties of Engineering and Applied Science or Arts and Science who has obtained a first-class standing in a third-year laboratory course in experimental physics.
