Advancement Enhancement Day

Donate to Advancement Enhancement Day

Advancement Enhancement Day is our annual event to reconnect with colleagues, enjoy a day outside of the office, and enhance our knowledge of Queen's University and our community.

For 2018 we return to campus! We have a great day planned full of activities, speakers, and interactive sessions. Our theme this year is "Creativity, Innovation, and Change".

We are honoured to have Deb. St. Amant (Bezhig Waabshke Ma’iingan Gewetigaabo) as our keynote speaker. Her new role as the Elder in Residence is to support Indigenous students in the Aboriginal Education programs. Deb is there to offer culture-based counseling, guidance and support to ensure that the students have the necessary support in reaching their educational goals.

Advancement Gives Back:

This year we ask everyone to make a donation to one of two funds (or both):

Option 1: Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre in honour of National Aboriginals Day, which is on June 21st. This fund was established to support the centre in enhancing the development and well-being of the Queen’s University Aboriginal Community. In keeping with the teachings of the Four Directions, the Centre strives to support individual Aboriginal students in balancing their academic, spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.

Option 2: the Queen’s Solar Design Team. A team of undergraduate students has built a solar house on West Campus, they travel to competitions and conferences, and provide educational outreach to local schools on solar design and sustainability. They are providing a tour of their solar home in the afternoon – space is limited so ensure to register early!

Our goal is to have 75 donors for this particular event, all gifts matter, big or small. Show our campus community some love!
