In Memory of John Valerio

Donate to In Memory of John Valerio

Friends, family, and classmates are working to establish the John Valerio Memorial Award. Our fundraising minimum target is $12,500, with a secondary goal of reaching $50,000 to make this a permanent endowment at Queen’s. The recipient of this award will be in any year of the Applied Science and Engineering program, with demonstrated financial need, and a true dedication to the extracurricular design teams at the university. John was a leader in the Queen’s Formula SAE team and developed his practical, thorough, no-nonsense brand of engineering in the shop at McLaughlin Hall. After achieving his degree in Mechanical Engineering, he continued his education and earned his Masters in Motorsport Engineering. He then became the backbone of Multimatic, where he designed, tested, and developed road and race cars. This award is to honour engineering students just like John, who are practically minded, passionate, and unapologetically authentic. If you had the opportunity to know John, work with him, or study beside him, please consider donating to support students like him and to bolster his legacy at Queen’s.
