Queen's Annual Appeal Fall Loyal
Thanks
to individual gifts to Queen’s like yours that fund groundbreaking research
such as this, so many cancer patients can have a better quality of life.
Patients such as The Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie Artsci’87,LLD’16. In
May 2015, when the Kingston native was diagnosed with glioblastoma, his
physician (who happened to be the Principal Investigator of the Canadian Cancer
Trials Group) was able to offer a proven treatment, providing him a longer and
better quality of life.
Queen’s University and the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) are shaping both our
cancer treatments and our scientists of tomorrow. In addition to searching for
new and better treatments, Queen’s is training young doctors, scientists and researchers
from the ground up to help thousands of cancer patients around the world.
With your continued help, Queen’s University can continue groundbreaking and
innovative research like the work of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group.
When you give to the Queen’s Fund, you are helping students and groups like
ours shape the future in a powerful way.
